Penang Hill Outing 2009

Let's see.. new year... new outing... first outing destination was set~! --> Penang Hill. This time a lot of the gang turned out leh... a total of 11 of us! Good Job guys...

Breakfast at the dim sum house opposite of Sunshin Farlim cos that's the place I can think off -_-!

3 cars...1 destination... move out! This time we snapped a lot of group photos since it's quite a big crowd.


We took the funicular train(cable car) up and it was only RM4 for the trip up n down. Quite cheap if you ask me... I forgot when was the last time I took the train up but mostly me and my friends used to hike up there...

Nice view..not to mention quite windy too. :D

Had fun snapping and walking towards the canopy walk but we already expect it to be closed.. just would like to snap and walk together.

Overall.. nice. : ) but we didn't make it for any sunrise or sunset shots.. :p .. gang, anyone up for sunrise or sunset at PenangHill? LOL...

Funicular Train service - Going up, 6:30am to 9:30pm. Saturday extend until
11:30pm
Going down, 6:45am to 9:15pm. Saturday extend until 11:15pm
Bellevue Bird Park - Opens seven days a week, 9am to 6pm

Taxi from George Town about RM20, from Batu Feringghi about RM30 - to the foot
hill only. To get on top of the hill by 4WD vehicle.

Getting a tad closer...

Finally bought my close up filter from my regular shop... Calvin intro-ed this neat little thing to me a while back. Basically close up filter enables your lens to focus on subject a wee bit closer than what your lens normally be able to. :)

It by no means any close to a macro lens but it really does gets closer. Mine's +4, think currently should be the 'closest' filter. For only RM45 a pop, it's a steal.. for quick and cheap solution first to satisfy my macro hungers....

Here's some test shots. :) Bear in mind all these images has been shrunk to fit the screen. I can get even more magnifying by simply cropping those images. hahahahha... but anyway, a real macro solution wont even need to crop much also. :)

work work.. finally, went back to my cubicle after 11days of absence.. from my long vacation that is.

I was very reluctant to go back to work.. but hey.. should feel thankful right? at times like this, its good that u have a place to go to earn some $$$. Its nice to see some familiar faces back again, remember last time during secondary or even primary schooling time... its always nice to see your friends back again especially before form 4 because I still haven't get my motorbike license. Going out with friends involved meeting up at a specific place either by bus, parent fetch or even no.11 bus (u know what no.11 bus right?). Those were the good ol days... and besides... no cellphone at that time, if your friends don't show up on time.. u'll keep wondering where those fan cheongs are..

:) thing's changed, nowadays most youngsters have cellphones at early stage.. it has become some sort of a necessity already. I bet next time every kid will carry a PDA at the very least.

Let's see what the future holds shall we?

late post - Christmas gifts exchange party

Had a Christmas gifts exchange party waaay back before Christmas last year and a few of us has gotten what they wanted.

Lots of food has been provided and kudos to Ishtar and Calvin for planning and making things happened. Thank you to all who has participated and provided the food for all, it was a fun and 'filling' event. :p
