Hey hey, I heard that the entire Kek Lok Si temple in Penang would light up during the Chinese New Year celebration but have never really been there before during these time. Armed with my camera and the gang went there for our photoshoot..The first place we went to was not to the temple itself but rather to a nearby 'site'. It's in between the 7-eleven store and a chinese temple. Hike the path along up till you pass 1 resting place and move forward a little bit more just before the 2nd resting place, move to a tight opening at the left. We reached there just slightly after 7pm. Setup our tripods.. and prepare for the shots. The hike alone was enuff to exhausts alot of us as we overshot the place and walked further up before making our way down... :S
*words of warning, for those who wish to do this here... bring along torch light for those night shots after dark and mosquitoes repellent!* Here's the famous Penang Kek Lok Si temple shot was made I believe. Take a look at my sample. :)
Next up, we headed for the temple for our main shooting. hiked along the road at the side leading up to the entrance. the traffic was packed with cars going up forming bumper to bumper queue. Luckily we parked our car at a space further down.
Anyway, it was really jammed pack with people as well.. lol. I can also see a lot of lanterns being hanged up on the ceiling. Very very pretty sight indeed. We shot around the temple area and around it before making our way to the pagoda where we had our 2nd stage of shooting. This was also the first time that I've actually been here... hahaha. what an experience.

We didn't finish shooting the entire thing though, too many to cover. We'll plan for a further shooting this weekend hopefully for part two. The Kuan Yin statue! stay tuned...
