So we resumed our trip around cafes the other day, evening session that is.
Covered 4 cafes in total as follows. Honestly there are still many more cafes around Georgetown that we haven't covered, that would have to be next time.
But one thing's for sure, want to nab that elusive mushroom soup from behind 50 if possible...

pepper and salt |
my fried chicken with cheese, the wedges were nice too, portion wise it's moderate |
this table lamp was not turned on, had to flip on the switch for this photo |
old old old radio... I don't think it's functioning anymore |
dusty knob |
funny thing, this sign was flipped to closed earlier, had to clarify with the waitress that they are indeed still open during that time, 7:30pm. The thing is, this place is like a guest house on top with a simple dining area below that serves food to guest and outside customer as well |
so we then walk a cross a street to reach Lebuh Cintra, just near Love lane to Behind 50 cafe, it's just a make shift looking cafe by the small road. Wanted to try their signature mush room soup as you can see from the photo above, but guess what? It was sold out, they open around 6pm, we were there close to 9pm. Sheesh, they said that they only can serve around 20+ bowls per day, so I guess we have to go earlier next time. |
another cafe, this is Eighty tree cafe, the shop is located at a terrace shop lot, small but nicely decorated. Warm and fuzzy feel as you can see. |
surprisingly, I've ordered this ham and egg toast, it was very very very nice! highly recommended, it's crunchy enough and the half boiled egg splashed on top is just awesome! |
mushroom soup, this time at Love bites, just beside Pik Nik at Nagore road, behind Penang Plaza. |
I ordered hot aloe vera drink, first time I've tasted aloe vera like this and I've gotta say, it smells really good. Definitely a place to revisit but the deco is a bit lovey dovey for some, otherwise, it's acceptable. |
