Photowalk at Little India

In conjunction with Deepavali.. the gang suggested a tour around Little India in Penang for some photoshoot.

We walked around the area, the shops are not opened or barely just opening... shop keeper can be seen pouring water and cleaning their store's surrounding as the morning sun blankets the area.

The place was almost deserted if not for the song playing in the area from one of the shop. It was loud and your usual bollywood style lyrics with strong bass. Calvin said they played the same song everytime.. hmmm... i cant really remember the rhythm though to be sure.

The photowalk turned out to be a semi portrait shooting... i found out that some of the area are really nice for portrait shoots... especially empty small road sides...

Whole journey was shot with my dad's 50mm prime. :) still thinking of getting the newer version with autofocus. I was having trouble focusing thru the view finder manually.


Ends with food at Prangin mall and Calvin and i stumbled upon this... man posing motionless.. cool.. he's all colored in silver er... makeup. but somehow he will move his arm to give a thumb's up whenever someone drops a note to the small basket in front of him for his act.

Calvin and i took turn to pose with him in which he will give up a peace sign as well. :)
