Just the other day, I was logging in my facebook account. I saw there's 1 guy on the "ppl whom you may know" panel and the name sounded familiar. I clicked in to view the profile. I almost did add that person onto my friend list but a further check on the profile picture albums revealed otherwise. hmmmm, this happened virtually though.
Have you ever mistaken someone for another person? Well, I've only did this once in my life so far and it's pretty much embrassing. I could still recall, it was during my primary school days. On one of the weekdays, after class as I was walking towards my school bus, I saw a familiar person's back. I thought it was my former class mate and I called out her name... and ouch, when she turned to me it was another girl.. my gosh.. I was very shy..and too shy to admit my mistake at that time, guess what I did? I pretend to continue shouting that person's name and walked pass her... LOL! hope she'll not think that I mistaken her for another person... WoW! that was one of the embarassing moments in my life. After that I took extra caution to identify people... hehehehe
Have you ever encountered the same thing? care to share?... ; )

Sacrifice
How far would you go for your love ones? In this case, 1 Vietnamese guy age 22 sold off one of his kidney to fund for his wedding. According to the news, he sold off one of his kidney for RM9600 so that he could organize a wedding with his girlfriend who is now several months pregnant.
At first my initial impression was this is a sad case and how come that guy could not just wait for a little while more or borrow some money from his parents? Guess everyone of us has some hidden stories that might be best kept secret. I feel sorry for him and his family but looking at the positive side, he's brave. He dares to sell his kidney to wed his girlfriend... but sadly it took his life in exchange.
Well, to me is that there could possibly be more than 1 solution to a problem at times. Maybe his culture or his principle kept him from waiting any longer or borrowing $ from other people.
Makes us wonder how far would we ever go for our love ones...

988 outdoor broadcast
Anyone here witness radio's station's outdoor broadcasting before? I for one didn't, I've heard about 988FM djs mentioned about this yesterday and since I'm working I gave it a miss.
Today I kinda passed the area and with my curiosity I crossed the road from Prangin Mall to the opposite site which is Komtar's area.
The little 'box' of mobile broadcasting studio was quite small, initially I thought they will have a tent setup and the djs will be seated there below the shade to do the broadcasting but hey, they have this kinda small but neat looking mobile studio.
I'm also curious of one thing, whether the broadcast was really 'live' or not, meaning whatever that is said is actually aired immediately. So as I emerged from the car park, I tuned in my radio and heard their voices, as I approached the scene I can hear their speakers broadcasting the show also.
I still couldn't really tell if it's real time cos I think they will have a 'safe' 1 or 2 minutes or probably more in case listeners who called in their respective shows said something that cannot be broadcasted to the listeners.
Walked to the back of the station to snap up a picture. The have the Chinese word saying "Ha! you dunno? tune in to 988FM lets you know more".

This picture shows the 3 DJs of the weekly morning show - "hello, good morning" every weekdays 6am - 10am. "2 guys n 1 gal and a mobile station"
I've been listening to their show for almost like half a year now and I must say it's kinda good. FM94.5 for Penang. Those who are interested can check them out, the morning shows have lots of wonderful topic like they'll pick forumers who posted their relationship problems and discuss on it and also another part would be some inspirational stories and how to survive in your job.
Later on they even invited Penang's Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to their show too but that time I was already at home so didn't get to see him. That's all for this round...
P/S: they look kinda like er... weird... being watched inside a box by pedestrians... hahaha.

Holding door
Being courtesy isn't that hard to do... I'm beginning to see a 'trend' at my work place. Example, when you're walking towards a door, the person is in front of you... just a few meters away, very close...and when they passed through the door, they didn't even bother to hold the door for you but just let go of their hand off the door and walked straight in.
It's quite annoying to see this as I believe this more or less shows how a person thinks dun you agree?
For me, once I've enter... I'll turn slightly back to see if anyone's approaching. If they're only a few more steps to the door, I'll either hold the door or push it to a 90degrees angle to have it opened for them cos some people might be carrying water bottles with one hand and probably hand bag with the other.
It's very simple act to do which brings some nice feelings for other people. Some said thank you for me too. Being polite to each other lifts up your spirits for the day.
For those that didn't have this habit, do it from now onwards. Make this a better place. :) I'm sure a lot of people in leading countries have nice habits and this being one of them.
Change your thoughts and the world changes with you.

Road Stuntman/woman
I was riding on my bike just now as I went out... not surprisingly as we all know, 'some' of the drivers in our country exhibits 'nice' manners throughout the road. Some were seen speeding, some crawling, some doesn't know where they were heading and there's some... I like to categorized these as the stuntman or woman of the road. They are quite eligible to be candidates of Hollywood stunt personnel and may even rival some rookie stunt freshies.
Speaking of which I saw the traffic lights turned red and there was 1 car who sped through it while it turned red...and you know what, 1 second behind that car, another car followed! speedily accelerated passed the cross junction into his 'safety' side pass the traffic light. WoW!... talk about rush hour... I always like to imagine these guys as those who were either rushing to toilet (in a polite manner) or in a slightly more sarcastic way as a old colleague would say ... rushing to change their birth certificate number (hope u guys get the meaning ; ) ...)
A few moments later, I've witness a new level of stunt I have never seen before on the road... I'll show it to you.. take a look at this...
Incredible isn't it? I mean, able to hold the infant with one hand and steer the bike with another? Isn't human wonderful? multi-tasking... only in her example... this is incredibly stupid. Endangering her own life and also her baby. WoW... I salute her.
There you have it folks... try not to do this or worse on the road... be considerate. : )

Japanese porcelain doll and crafts exhibition
My mum likes Japan and its culture. She found this little ad. last month which stated that there are a exhibition of Japanese crafts and asked me to fetch her there. Went there at the first day of the exhibition (unfortunately, at the time of this post the event was over already.. sorry, didn't get this up within the time for those who might be interested).
Its located at Machalister road one of the building (forgot the name) but it was beside Kuang Ming Newspaper's building.
Here's the look around the building.

The Three Patriots sign
The hall way inside the building
The old structure design retains beneath a new coat of paint
Bamboos, my favorite plan

We went inside, saw a sign pointing to the entrance to another room where the exhibition was held. We were one of the first few there, taught my mum how to operate her cellphone's camera she then went on a snapping spree. So did I cos I wanna post these up here.
There's a few people presented there, mainly woman... well, probably guy are not cut out for these stuff but I'm okay with them.
Here's a look at the exhibition:

Here's a look at the exhibition:
Japanese uncle (think is husband of the Japanese creator woman), people are seen signing autographs near the entrance
Ahh... a sign which tells you what porcelain doll means... saves me more detailed explanation ; )
And if those weren't enough, here's the picture walkthrough (somehow that doll face looked creepy)
Some reporters gathered up for interview session with translator and creator
Japanese Porcelain Dolls!
Yet another doll nicely dressed up
Okay, this looks kinda creepy. Cat face naked doll... =_=''
Erm, she doesn't look so happy, maybe she doesn't like this dress
this erm, nice dress... but dun really like the face
Somber looking doll
Human doll hanger... I'm sure the creator didn't meant to do such pose
Cute baby doll with mini bunny companions
Clogs in Japanese is call GETA
GETA in all shapes and sizes and decoration, my mum bought the top LEFT black GETA
Mini kimono! cutesy!
Medium sized Kimono, look at the colors!
These got hanged on top of the wall, I'm pretty sure it's life sized.
Another life sized Kimono, nice Japanese art work there which you can see clearly if its laid these way
the mini dresses, not sure if anyone of these looks Japan origin but they're made by the Japanese woman
This hand bag is made from recycled paper with Kanji written all over it. The container are covered with a layer of shinny wax or shellac making it feels quite durable.
Japanese Fan! these definately one of my favorite item but I didn't buy
Angels!! ; )

Well, overall a nice experience there. Being able to see some authentic Japanese crafts once in a while. My mum bought 3 pieces of crafts there, the GETA sponsored by me for mother's day present, a mini Kimono sponsored by my dad and 1 small doll from herself.

Langkawi Trip - Part 3
Well, this is the conclusion of the long winded trip blog. We went over to a dock to take some shots. It seems that this dock was the 'smiley' face that you looked up from the cable car. : )
The side of the dock
Warm shade under the sun

Next, we're went to the Eagle Monument to have our final photo shoot.
It can be seen from afar
Getting closer, sun over shadowed by clouds
The back of the statue
It's named - Dataran Lang. Langkawi, signed there were Malaysia's former Prime Minister - Tun Mahathir
Well, it's located below the eagle and I didn't bother to read up what's written there
Direct shot below the eagle
