Ouch... broken

My spec was broken into 2 pieces a few nights ago... uuh.. I've been expecting it though.. cos it has this cracks near the center nose piece screw there. Last time I used to change my specs every once a year or 1.5years... never longer than 2 years. This spec has been with me for over 3 years... wow.. and it's from England Optics Midland branch.. I am really very satisfied with it and it has served me well...

Well, nowadays I'm not sure which one to go for anymore. The previous spec I did before this one (the one I'm wearing as a spare right now) was made with an over powered lens that made me very blurry (3 years ago)... right now it was okay but I still feel uncomfortable. The thing is, some of the optician looks kinda young.... well.. I didnt have much confidence.. hahahahhaa.. oh well, perhaps I really should just go back to the same place after all...

P/S: when was the last time you've changed your spec? I'm still going for rimless for now... hehe hehe...

Subsidy

Finally got my lazy butt off and filled in the form which entitled me to a fuel subsidy for motorbike of RM150 this morning.

My dad got the form for me last week and I finally filled it in last nite and headed out for the post office this morning. A press of a button for a queuing number and a few minutes later, the kind lady operator processed my application and handed me 3 pieces of RM50 notes.

This should last a few months, fuel price has been hiked up a whoopin 78cents recently and that affected the whole nation... especially those traveling with car daily. I last tracked my fuel consumption for my car... its around RM150 for 1 month, to and fro my office and home each day for 5 days a week plus a bit here and there sometimes. Right now It'll be around RM200 where I ride my bike more often during the weekends.

Picked up a magazine which states some 20 ways to save on fuel spendings... will post it up sometimes later to share... : )

Olympic Beijing

Alrigth so yesterday was the opening of Olympic Beijing.. sadly my house doesn't have Astro and I didn't go to anywhere with one... I was told that our national tv would have the live broadcast at 8:30pm. hmmm.. 22mins late. So I rushed back home through a jammed packed street. Was stuck on the jam for 40mins and got back at 7something. Bathed and cooked instant noodle and preped myself up for the show..

Oh man, the experience was terrible, first.. it really is live.. meaning the opening was at 8:08pm... and I missed out the whole 22mins of the opening, secondly.... there's an annoying amount of advertisement breaks every now and then... even when the fireworks are showing... nooooooooooooooooooooooo.... what I can do is look for online source now to catch up.

Anyway, good job China... it was a very very magnificant opening! I shall watch the closing ceremony on Astro... They even have fireworks that displays Smiley --> : ) keng!! and one more they shot the fireworks up from buildings to buildings which shaped like foot prints... one by one... towards the stadium. To me it looked like 'god's walking towards the stadium... wow... it'll be a challenge to top this. Good job China...

Let's enjoy the rest of the event! hmmm... they're airing the badminton match now as I'm blogging... hope our national team can bring back Gold. Add Oil!

It's that SEASON of the year again...

Feeling very very very warm at night recently. I was wondering what happened, didn't give much thought bout it as I thought its normal that now its all about global warming which caused this warmness which is also caused by our human ignorance. hahahaha..

Anyway, one of the morning in the past few days I woke up and smell the morning fresh air.... yuck.. as I'm quite sensitive to those smoke and dust.. I looked out the window into the far distance..and guess what... yeah.. Haze... welcome back.. gee...

In Malaysia, there's a few season... Clear season, Rainy season... and last but not least.... Haze season.. thanks to our neighbor country the Indonesia which every year will 'pamper' us with blankets of hazey fog... wow... I remember each year our newspaper will report that the haze has struck our country again and also shows the index... whether is it near dangerous level or not. Some of the year in particular the haze was too thick and we had to wear facial mask to sort of like block out some of the particles. Well, they even have some agreement with the country which will resolve this issue and guess what? years after years... I think some people are already gotten used to this season and they'll just ignore it.

I find it hard to ignore really as it's quite difficult to breath at times... call me sensitive or sissy or whatever, if inhaling haze or smoke or dust is your liking then so be it. hahahahah..

Please someone do something to curb this situation ASAP.. lol.. not ASAP in Malay... As Soon As Possible.... or hopefully that moron dude that issue command to burn and causes all these hot spots come to his/her/their senses and stop this. It is after all.. an open burning... contributing further to global warming.. hey man, if u're not helping out the cause at least dun be part of the problem.. geez...
